GAMFT is a statewide Independent Affiliate (formally a division of AAMFT) that provides members with networking and educational events, state advocacy, and the opportunity to connect with other members online to address practice-related questions, resources, and the latest updates on what is happening in our profession. Our parent organization is the Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), a premier professional association for individuals interested in the field of marriage and family therapy.

In order to be a member of GAMFT you must become a member of AAMFT. Registration for GAMFT takes place through the AAMFT website at www.aamft.org. To keep your GAMFT membership active and your local benefits in place, be sure to select “Georgia” when signing up or renewing with AAMFT.
