MFT Celebration Day at the State Capitol

Join marriage and family therapists from across Georgia for continuing education, connection with colleagues, and time with policy makers who influence mental health care and the future of our profession. Gathering in person aligns with our MFT values of working with the whole system, and helps our policy makers at the Capitol and throughout the state understand who MFTs are, the work we do, and why the MFT profession matters

Why attend?

As MFTs, we’re trained to see beyond the individual—to families, communities, and systems. This event puts that training into action.

  • No prior advocacy experience required—just your presence
  • 2 CE hours at no cost
  • Learn from and engage with key Georgia Mental Health policy partners
  • Connection with fellow MFTs across career stages
  • Alignment with the values that define marriage and family therapy: systems, relationships, and advocacy

Your presence matters

Showing up together puts real faces and relationships behind the policies that affect our work.

  • Legislators and policy-makers see that our profession is engaged and organized
  • We demonstrate that marriage and family therapy is a core part of Georgia’s mental health workforce
  • Our collective presence strengthens current allies and raises awareness among those who don’t yet know our work
