April 24, 2026 - Good Enough Progress Notes: Managing AI, Ethics, and Sensitive Clinical Topics
Join GAMFT and returning presenter Maelisa McCaffrey for a virtual ethics CE event to support your clinical documentation skills.
Progress notes are the backbone of clinical documentation—yet they remain a daily source of uncertainty, especially as therapists navigate new technology and legal environments. From artificial intelligence tools landing in everyday workflows to the ethical complexity of documenting sensitive topics, MFTs are writing in uncharted territory.
This focused, practical workshop goes beyond the basics to address what therapists are actually grappling with today. Participants will walk away knowing exactly what belongs in a progress note, how to use AI tools responsibly and ethically, and how to document sensitive clinical content in ways that protect clients and clinicians alike—without sacrificing clinical accuracy or meaning.
Come prepared to think critically, engage with real-world scenarios, and leave with concrete phrases, frameworks, and tools you can use in your next progress note. This workshop is intentionally interactive and judgment-free—everyone has the same embarrassing questions, and this is a space where you can finally ask them. You'll connect with colleagues, commiserate over shared documentation struggles, and walk away with an actionable plan that instills confidence.
